Level Sensor

Definition	Function
The material level indicator rotates at the lowest or highest material level in the stocker, hopper or silo to measure electrical signals.	The paddle of the ILT Box Level Indicator will not rotate if the material is above the paddle. Once the material level drops below the paddle's rotational range, the rotational motion starts and drives the other components of the indicator. Top or side mounted indicators are typically used for materials in the density range of 0.5t/m³ to 2t/m³.

Mounting

Note

The device must be threaded onto the vessel. Mounting can be vertical, inclined or horizontal. During installation, adjust the housing to the correct orientation.
The device may be secured and sealed with suitable sealing material (knocking the plastic threads off the container by hand only and not with tools). The threaded wiring tube (or plug) must be downward.
This can ensure the normal operation of the device and prevent rainwater from entering the inside of the device along the wiring tube.
After securing the threaded connection, the housing must never be turned again

Before carrying out any kind of work on the device, it must be stopped and disconnected from the power supply.

Level indicators are not designed to work in
dangerous conditions or with dangerous materials. If the machine has to operate in these conditions, the manufacturer must be informed.
